👜 CHANEL UNVEILS A DAZZLING ARRAY OF BAGS ON THE FALL/WINTER 2022 RUNWAY 🌟
When discussing Chanel's Fall/Winter 2022 collection, one could say that tweeting about tweed is quite apropos. The essence of this collection was undeniably tweed, drawing inspiration from Scotland's picturesque Tweed River, as revealed by head designer Virginie Viard.
Make no mistake, the captivating tweed theme extended to the Chanel handbags, many of which were perfect ensemble matches. An array of pinks and purples, encompassing both deep and pastel shades, set the tone for the season, beautifully mirrored by the Chanel logo backdrop.
While tweed unquestionably reigned supreme, patent leather made a notable appearance, complemented by touches of shearling and regular leather. And let's not forget the chains – they were everywhere, adorning bags, wrapped around necks, and embracing bodies.
However, the most remarkable aspect concerning our beloved accessory is Chanel's extravagant display of bags in an array of sizes and shapes. Frankly, the sheer abundance of bags was staggering, even overwhelming. More than 50 of the showcased looks featured a handbag, and that's not even counting the miniatures that were more akin to jewelry.
👛 FLAPS
You get a flap, we get a flap, everyone gets a flap! In true Oprah fashion, there's a flap for every taste – though certainly not free of charge. Multiple sizes, fabrications, and even shapes – from rectangular to square to half-moon. So, let's begin with the classic styles adorned with chain-laced straps.
For a twist, one style boasts a triangular envelope flap closure.
And then we have an array of Chanel flaps with shapes that venture beyond the classic rectangle. Some are bedecked with jewels, with or without multiple compartments.
Others take on a more squared-off demeanor.
There's even a satchel-style bag featuring a flap.
👜 FLAPS WITH HANDLES
Given the resounding success of the Coco Handle, it's no surprise that this collection includes several handled flaps. Ironically, none of them seem to be the actual CCH.
Take a gander at the backpack with a handle, embodying many of Chanel's timeless themes.
👛 TINY FLAPS
For aficionados of the ultra-small flaps, Chanel ensured they didn't go overlooked.
🌙 HALF MOON AND ROUNDED FLAPS
On the other hand, there's no need to conform to square flaps when you can opt for the whimsy of rounded, half-moon-shaped bags, complete with a flap closure. One iteration boasts the cozy embrace of shearling, while the other is a tweed Boy.
👜 BIG BAG STYLE
Chanel introduced a Deauville tote in this collection, and in a nod to the 2000s, there's a bag reminiscent of the once-popular Coco Cabas tote.
🌟 EVEN MORE SHAPES
Even if you've grown weary of flaps and totes, Chanel thoughtfully presented a plethora of alternatives. Vanity cases and top-lock bags, barrel-shaped and round purses – the choices abound.
With this profusion of options on the horizon, has Chanel once again captured your heart? To flap or not to flap? Share your thoughts! 💬👜🌟
